The Golden Arches have been a part of my life from the day I was born because my family and I have traveled a lot around the United States. The Golden Arches of McDonalds was always the icon we looked for to take a travel break. The Facebook logo has impacted my life because it was a social network that I joined when it was so small, and it became extremely popular over the years. This icon is important to me because it has created a more simple way to communicate with long-distance friends and family. The third icon I chose that has had an impact on my life is the logo for the show The Voice. This logo is important to me because my family comes together to watch this show when it airs, and it is an important time of the week because my family comes together.

Facebook is definitely another fine example of popular culture. Before Facebook, MySpace was the popular medium. Twitter has also come on to the scene as the next big thing in social media. In the future there will most likely be another new type of social network service that is the latest craze. Our tastes and preferences are forever changing within our culture.
